When I was assigned this project I was unsure on what I was going to do. Then, after a few days into the project, I remembered this was about observations. I looked in front of me to see, on the table, a ruler. I observed the ruler and decided I would draw it as a 1:1 scale. This was a challenge for me because there were so many lines I had to draw so precisely, but I took this challenge head on. I started by first tracing the ruler, then drawing the inches lines, one inch apart. Next I would have to draw the centimeter lines, I put my ruler next to the ruler, and drew the lines. I repeated this process with all the lines on the ruler. I noticed the drawing looked very flat and two dimensional, so I shaded in the ruler where shading was necessary.
When I got home from school today, I placed a bunch of pencils in a shoe cup and set it up on the coffee table in the living room. I sat in the living room for an hour or so only to have the cup of pencils go unnoticed. I took the pencils back to my room then questioned my mother about it later that evening. She said she did not notice anything out of the ordinary. |
